Apple has launched the thinnest iPhone at just 5.6mm, and a titanium chassis so light it may float into orbit and form iCloud’s physical embodiment. The three lenses have been replaced by 48MP “fusion lenses”, because the three lenses were probably too much to choose from. Apple has promised that the grade 5 titanium frame and new Ceramic shield should offer better scratch and crack resistance, but we’ll only find out if that's true when a YouTuber does a drop test on it.

The display is a promising 6.5’’ Super Retina XDR, with 120Hz ProMotion and 3000 nits peak brightness. They’ve also introduced the A19 Pro, N1 and C1X chips where the latter two are for fast and efficient Network and Cellular connectivity. Maybe one day these guys will run out of letters to name their hardware after. Well, at least they’re not pulling an AMD on us (looking at you, Ryzen series).

The most important part of the keynote was the emphasis on “all-day battery life”. They mentioned it over 11 times in their blog, and I hope they don’t push a skewed metric of what a “day” means for them to escape legal trouble. How do they achieve this battery life, you ask? Well, you don’t get to put a physical SIM on your phone anymore. I guess the lack of a physical SIM slot could lighten the burden on your pockets which are totally not being strained by the monthly EMIs Apple will make you pay.

Some more relieving news: they also managed to remove all ports from your phone! Except one USB-C port obviously. It would also be wrong to say that this port works at USB 2.0 speeds and is still stuck in the year 2000.

Let’s talk about money. You also get to buy a MagSafe puck to further boost the battery life, with the added benefit of that puck not working on any other iPhone model whatsoever. This phone also comes with a hefty price tag of $999 (or about 1.2L in Indian Rupees), so you get to pay extra for less features! Really excited for the next iPhone model which runs on hopes and dreams and charges you half of what your house costs.
